Background del progetto
Negli ultimi anni si sono diffusi movimenti che rappresentano per molti giovani, soprattutto studenti universitari, una forma di attivismo e protesta pacifica legata ai temi della sostenibilitร ambientale e della lotta ai cambiamenti climatici.
Obiettivo Generale
Il progetto mira a prevenire la radicalizzazione nell’attivismo ambientale aumentando l’alfabetizzazione ambientale degli studenti universitari, coinvolgendoli nelle comunitร di appartenenza e trasformandoli in attori del cambiamento.
Obiettivi Specifici
Comprendere il fenomeno della radicalizzazione legata a questioni ambientali e climatiche attraverso ricerche qualitative e quantitative su casi emblematici, atteggiamenti e opinioni degli studenti universitari
I risultati
Il progetto promuoverร l’alfabetizzazione ambientale degli studenti universitari, sviluppando le loro conoscenze e competenze e creando un legame tra loro e la comunitร di cui fanno parte, aumentando il loro interesse e la loro conoscenza delle problematiche legate al cambiamento climatico.
Il progetto fornirร ai partecipanti una comprensione della complessitร dei sistemi ambientali e sociali, oltre a una forte capacitร di problem solving. Grazie a quest’ultima saranno in grado di intervenire con soluzioni innovative ed efficaci che contribuiscano ad affrontare meglio la sostenibilitร ambientale e a combattere i problemi del cambiamento climatico, prevenendo al contempo la radicalizzazione violenta.
Il progetto promuoverร la crescita professionale dei partecipanti attraverso la creazione di una comunitร di pratica sul tema della prevenzione della radicalizzazione violenta nell’attivismo ambientale. Il progetto unirร i contributi di diversi attori (accademici, studenti, realtร del terzo settore) migliorando l’impatto delle azioni di prevenzione della radicalizzazione violenta nell’attivismo ambientale e di lotta al cambiamento climatico.

๐ช๐บ During the project's kick-off meeting, we worked together to kickstart the ELCRA project, which is dedicated to preventing violent radicalization in environmental activism. We shared ideas, received insights for quality project management and communication, and collectively decided on the tools to enable us to navigate the ELCRA journey successfully. Here we can see how partners have been working together in a reflective workshop to provide keywords, ideas and definitions on the first phase of the Research! ๐๐

๐๐ After the first day of the ELCRA Kick-off Meeting, we held the conference โClimate Change and Its Challenges: The Links Between Environmental Literacy and the Prevention of Violent Radicalization of Climate Activism.โ This event was a significant step in promoting ELCRAโs objectives, outcomes, and the unique contributions of each partner. ๐ฟ๐ค
The conference featured 16 speakers from diverse nationalities, including Spanish, Portuguese, Lithuanian, and Italian, offering a rich tapestry of perspectives. ๐ The event, lasting two and a half hours, was aimed at university students, professors, and staff, fostering a dynamic educational environment. ๐
Listeners included colleagues from Balkan Universities, who actively participated in the conclusion round, enriching the discourse with their insights. ๐ค๐ฌ
A special thank you goes to the University of Siena for not just hosting the Kick-off but also providing a valuable platform for ELCRA, enhancing its visibility and facilitating this international conference. ๐๏ธ๐
